TPIA's ongoing engagement with the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries to secure duty relief on key feed ingredients.
High feed costs are the single largest constraint on Tanzanian poultry competitiveness. TPIA leads coordinated advocacy — backed by costing data from members — to reduce duties on soya, maize, and vitamin-mineral premixes. Ongoing dialogue with MOLF, TRA and the Tanzania Bureau of Standards has resulted in early commitments to review VAT on imported premixes.
